Each year, AIGA Richmond holds a small roundtable discussion to make sure we are getting member feedback on local and national AIGA programs, services and initiatives. We would like to invite you to participate in this year’s roundtable for the purpose of sharing your experience and insight of AIGA as a member. And this year, we will be conducting two discussions: one in Richmond and another in Charlottesville.
This year, we are asking you to join the roundtable to discuss some of the tougher strategic choices that AIGA is facing right now. This is a critical juncture as we begin to restructure AIGA before its hundredth anniversary in 2014. To do so, we need to understand as completely as possible how members believe AIGA should serve them. This is where we need your help. Who we serve, what we do, how we communicate and how an association can support the next generation have all changed dramatically over the past decade.
We’re looking for a cross-section of voices across the country—web developers and production artists, art directors and copywriters, in-house and freelance designers. The results of our roundtable will be shared with other chapters, the national board of directors and staff and will become the basis for discussions during our leadership retreat in June.
AIGA is eager to adapt to serve the future of the profession as well as meet the need of the immediate challenges. When you sign up for the roundtable, we will send you two documents:
If you can attend and are a current AIGA Member, please register online.
